How to add an event registration form

 

The Event Registration module signs your users up for events that you are promoting on your website.

 

Tip: The event registration module will need to link to an event. Create the event in the Settings tab before adding the event registration form to your web page.

 

Before we begin: Have you checked out the Focus feature? Focus provides you with a set of 20 beautiful and functional web page sections designed in the style of your template that you can add with a single click, including an Event Registration focus!

The Event Registration Focus attractively lays out your event form with a title, icons and fields for more information in the style of your template. It’s all customizable, so you can tweak it to your liking.

To check out Focus, click the Focus tab in the left sidebar, and then click Add Focus and scroll through the options.

If you just want to add a simple event registration form, without the added elements of the Event Registration Focus, follow these steps to add an event registration form to your page:

 

Step 1: Open the target page

In the website builder, open the page of your site that you want to add the social media buttons to.
 

Step 2: Open the Modules tab

In the left sidebar menu, click on Modules:
 

 

Step 3: Locate the event registration module icon

In the Modules sidebar, scroll down to see the Event Registration module icon.

 

 

Step 4: Click and drag the event registration icon onto your page

Point your mouse at the Event Registration module, click and drag it onto your page to where you want the module to be located. Then drop it.

As you drag it around the page, you will see black lines appear, indicating the edges of the existing elements on the page. Use these lines as guides help you drop your Event Registration module in the right place. You can add spacers or other elements later to adjust its position if desired.

For this example, we will add an Event Registration module to the About Us page in the Organic template, beneath the sample content, and above the restaurant location information.

Below you can see the Event Registration module before it was dropped, hovering over the page. The black line indicates the edge of the spacer module under the image and text box When the Event Registration module is dropped now, it will insert below the line, between the content elements and the spacer.

 

 

Step 5: Choose your event

Your new event registration module is added to your page, but it needs an event. The Options bar will open automatically below the module, or click anywhere on the module to open it.

 

Tip: To move the video module around, including removing it to the trash can, click the thick black grab bar in the center-top and drag it.

 

 

Choose an event you’ve set up already:

If you’ve created the event already in the Settings tab, you can click the Choose Event icon on the far left to select your event.

 

The Choose Event box will open. Click the down-arrow on the right. Any events that you’ve added to your Settings>Events will be listed. Select the event you want to use for your Event Registration module.
 

 

 

Click Save.
 


 

Add or edit an event

 

If you haven’t set up your event yet, or you’ve set it up but want to make changes to it, click the Add / Edit Event link at the right side of the options bar:

 

 

The events tab will open in the left sidebar area. Any events that you’ve already set up will be listed.

 

To edit an event, click the pen icon that appears when you hover your mouse over the event title.

 

To set up a new event, click the Add Event button and fill in the event details on the event form that will open in the builder window.

 

 

Here’s my event, “Wine Tasting” as it appears on the page:

 


Step 6: Event Registration module formatting options

Once you’ve selected the event, you might want to change how it appears on your page. Click inside the module to open the format options bar again.

Here’s a brief description of each of these options:

 

  Choose event

Clicking this icon opens the Choose Event box, which we did already in Step 5 above.


 

  Event Properties

Clicking the Event properties button opens the Event properties box where you can choose what fields you want to include in the module.

 

Click here to open the Events tab in the left sidebar menu to make any changes to your event details, or create a new event. See Step 5 for more details.


 

Step 7: Saving the changes

Once you have finished with your Event Registration, remember to click the Save button at the bottom center of the modules sidebar to save and protect your changes.
